One of the strangest places to learn forgiveness is in the area of running a business. Here, despite the best of intentions and the abundance of advice, one makes the kinds of mistakes that would look silly if they weren’t so costly.
The upside to making costly mistakes in running a business though is how fast they rid one of the tendency to wallow in regret and self-pity. There simply isn’t ROOM for that sort of self-indulgence. It’s boot camp for growing up and for growing up really fast.
So here’s to erring and forgiving, and erring and forgiving, and erring and forgiving.
At some point, the stumbling will stop.
